Sam Burgess was spotted relaxing at Sydney’s Bronte Beach with his heavily pregnant fiancee less than 24 hours before his exit from the Rabbitohs.
It seems former NRL star is settling in nicely to new-found domestic life.
The 34-year-old and his soon to be wife, Lucy Graham, were spotted lapping up some winter rays while relaxing on the grass at Bronte Beach on Tuesday.
Ms Graham, a hairdresser and fashion designer from Leeds, was sporting a big baby bump and is expected to give birth in September.
The couple became engaged during a romantic Fiji holiday in June.
But things haven’t always been so idyllic in Burgess’s tumultuous personal life.
The former South Sydney Rabbitohs player’s time in the public eye has been riddled with scandal ever since the collapse of his marriage to ex-wife Phoebe Hooke.
Cheating allegations and rumours about their “high-tension” wedding day spilled over after Burgess was charged with intimidation and common assault against Phoebe’s father Mitch Hooke.
The former NRL star admitted during an SAS Australia episode that he had cheated on his then wife with a woman in Melbourne.
Those close to Burgess said it was Phoebe’s penchant for “showcasing” their seemingly perfect marriage and life on social media that contributed to their strained relationship, before the ‘It couple’ infamously fell apart.
In 2019 Burgess was also linked to American waitress Oak Schuetz, who had hoped their budding romance was more than “just a fling”.
However Burgess has always denied they ever “dated.”
Burgess already shares two children with his ex-wife and will soon welcome his third child with Ms Graham as the couple prepare to tie the knot.
