More than 50 students have been evacuated from Bondi Beach Public School after a fire broke out at their school.
Several people have reportedly been treated for smoke inhalation, as firefighters battle to put out the fire in two classrooms at the eastern suburbs school.
NSW Police confirmed they were called to reports of a fire on the top floors of the Warners Ave school just before 5pm Wednesday.
There were initial concerns there were people inside the building, but all people have now been accounted for and firefighters said there were no injuries.
Two emergency workers were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but did not require further treatment.
The blaze, which spread thick smoke over the suburb, took about an hour to extinguish and badly damaged the two classrooms involved.
Images shared on Twitter show massive plumes of white smoke coming from the school grounds and drifting across the beachfront suburb.
Police have established a crime scene around the area to help determine the cause of the fire, and traffic in the area is affected.
