More than 35 firefighters brought the blaze under control just after 1pm, with all people inside the building accounted for.
Superintendent Graham Jarrett said it was believed no other buildings were damaged in the incident.
“On arrival we found a working fire in progress, but there was no external exposure,” he said.
The fire was extinguished at 2pm.
It’s understood three tradies were working in the building when the fire broke out but no injuries have been reported.

Local roads remained closed as firefighters inspected the site to ensure the fire had not spread into nearby buildings.
Investigators are at the scene to determine the cause of the blaze, which started in a room used for rubbish at the rear of the premises.
The building sustained smoke and heat damage.
