Former footballer Jarryd Hayne is serving out his sentence at Cooma Correctional Centre, a prison which has been home to other well known identities like former Labor MP Eddie Obeid and former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer.
But there is nothing five-star about the jail, which was built in the 1870s in the state’s south and is considered one of the oldest prisons in Australia.
