A SEX beast who preyed on children but was spared jail because of his high cholesterol and sleeping problems among other reasons has been accused of abusing more kids — as new details emerge that he paid at least one victim $5000 to keep her silent.
The Director of Public Prosecutions is investigating an appeal on the case and will also attempt to lift a non-publication order on the predator’s name after The Daily Telegraph exposed the case yesterday.
Attorney-General Mark Speakman said TM wouldn’t have been able to avoid jail under new laws that are coming into effect next year that will abolish suspended sentences.
“I share longstanding community concerns about lenient sentences for abhorrent child sex abuse offences,” he said.

He said the DPP would also be making an application to lift the non-publication order on the case.
Both victims have told The Daily Telegraph they want the order lifted so they can reveal the full details of the case.
The Daily Telegraph can also reveal that the victims believe TM has abused other girls who are yet to report him to police.
One victim, who cannot be named, said she was aware of at least two other women who claim they were abused.
“It followed the same pattern — he starting abusing them when they were 10 and then raped them when they were 13,” she said.
The woman said she was hopeful if the non-publication orders are lifted it would lead to other victims becoming aware of the convictions and going forward to the police.

Court documents obtained exclusively by The Daily Telegraph show TM paid one victim $5000 of hush money in 2002.
He met her in a park, where she gave him a statuary declaration stating she had received the money and would not take further action.
She was one of the two victims who provided evidence against him.
