Police believe slain Penrith mum Dayna Isaac was allegedly strangled and left to die by her new boyfriend Paul Sultana before officers found her.
New details into how the young mother-of-two was killed can be revealed, with police alleging detectives arrived to discover a grisly scene inside the Western Sydney unit on January 16.
According to documents tendered by police, it will be alleged police found Ms Isaac, 28, unconscious in a bedroom with two electrical cords tied around her throat and with injuries to her face.
Officers also reported allegedly seeing blood on tiles throughout the unit, hours after they first knocked on the door and got no answer.
Police were originally called to the property that day after neighbours reported hearing a disturbance.
Sultana, 32, has been charged with murder after Ms Isaac’s burnt-out car was found near his Cranebrook home.
Sultana had known Ms Isaac for years but had only become romantic in recent months, police said, and his mother was the person who found her dead in the home.
Ms Isaac’s estranged husband Mikkel was on remand on drug charges and found out about the death of the mother of his children from inside his cell.
The disturbing details of what allegedly happened to his wife were also heard during his bail hearing.
Isaac was released on bail three weeks ago in the Supreme Court after arguing he needed to attend the funeral and care for the pair’s children.
Isaac, who remained on good terms with Ms Isaac following their separation, said in a heart-wrenching post on social media following her death he would take care of their two daughters.
“Love you forever and always. I promise I’ll look after our girls until we meet again my angel,” Mr Isaac wrote.
Sultana remained in the cells when he faced Penrith Court charged with murder for the first time last month.
Ms Isaac’s distraught father said last month his family was in complete shock over his daughter’s death.
“I’m not in a good place..I’m in complete shock,” Garry English said.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe page has been set up by friend Hayley Chandler to support Ms Isaac’s grieving family, with more than $18,000 raised so far.
“On the 16th of January 2023 our beautiful Dayna was taken (a) way too soon,” she posted.
“Dayna was a friend to everyone. She leaves behind two beautiful children who will miss her dearly.
“As you can understand this is a difficult time for her friends and family. We are asking for donations to help give Dayna the send off she truly deserves and to help her family with the costs of raising her children. Any donation big or small will be appreciated.”
