Year 12 coordinator Kayla McIntosh has led the group since they were in Year 7.
“They’re an absolutely incredible bunch of kids, they’ve worked hard and were dedicated to their studies,” Ms McIntosh said.
She commended them on their strength through Covid lockdowns, which forced them to an online learning platform.
“They persevered through isolation - it ended up helping them forge strong connections with each other,” Ms McIntosh said.
She said it’s emotional to say goodbye to a cohort she had known since the students were 12 years of age.
The group worked to raise money toward charities and was heavily involved in the community.
Woolgoolga High School run the SMILE (Support Mentor Inspire Listen Encourage) program, which develops skills around combating issues such as bullying, while also encouraging positive life-choices.
