Potential home buyers are being offered a rare opportunity to snap up a piece of the city’s “most desirable address” - the soon to be built luxury jetty apartment complex, Bohemian Coffs Harbour.
A number of one, two and three bedroom architecturally designed apartments with coastal views are now being sold off-the-plan amid the city’s booming property market, starting from a price of $495,000 for a one-bedroom.
Meanwhile a two-bedroom apartment can be snapped up from $695,000 and a three bedroom from $995,000.
Located in the heart of the jetty area on the corner of Collingwood and Orlando streets, the seven-storey mixed-use residential and commercial complex was given the tick of approval from councillors in November.
It marks the first premium apartment offering at the jetty, and is touted to lead the way for the transformation of the soon to be redeveloped jetty precinct.
“This building will definitely set the benchmark - no question. It will be the building that will be judged by future developers,” Cr George Cecato had said.
The State Government is currently in the process of finalising a concept plan to redevelop the jetty foreshore, while a number of prominent sites in the greater jetty area are also earmarked for future private redevelopment.
These include the former Forestry Building, purchased by Coffs Central owners Gowings, and the Jetty Village Shopping Centre purchased by Park Beach Plaza owners Bachrach Naumburger Group.
Architect Jim Booth says the Orlando and Collingwood Street development represents the first strategically located property to be redeveloped within the Coffs Harbour Jetty Strip Precinct for more than 30 years.
The complex will consist of 46 apartments and two ground-floor commercial tenancies, and according to Mr Booth the project value is estimated to be in excess of $20m.
Mr Booth, of local architectural firm Casa Koala, said approximately 240 construction jobs would be created over the lifespan of the project.
Listed with Mr Booth’s father, veteran real estate agent and former First National Coffs Harbour managing director Barry Booth, the contemporary apartments will boast spectacular views across the foreshore, coastline and hinterland and would feature full-width balconies with oversized glass sliding doors.
Oversized kitchens and generously proportioned living spaces will be complemented by coastal inspired finishes, once construction is complete around June-July 2023.
Potential buyers can view the display suite set up at 11 Orlando St by private appointment, and can register their interest via a new website which has also been launched for Bohemian Coffs Harbour here.
