The man accused of driving a car into another man and pinning him up against a wall after a fight has appeared in Coffs Harbour Local Court.
Ryan Stephen Guest is facing a number of charges after the incident at a home on Bailey Ave, Coffs Harbour at around 10.45pm on Monday night.
Police allege the 29-year-old had been involved in a fight with a 27-year-old man at the house before jumping in a car and driving it towards the younger man, pinning him against a brick wall.
Guest fled from the scene a short time later.
The younger man received injuries to his legs and was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus for surgery.
Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Following inquiries, Guest was arrested about 9.25am on Tuesday on Walter Morris Close, Coffs Harbour.
He appeared in court on Wednesday to face the following charges:
- Destroy or damage property
- Reckless wounding
- Drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous
- Negligent driving (no death or grievous bodily harm)
- Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit
- Demand with menaces intend obtain gain/cause loss
- Enter enclosed land without lawful excuse
He was refused bail and the matter has been adjourned to April 12 at Coffs Harbour Local Court.
