Gold Coast man Glendon Darrell Morris faces Coffs Harbour court charged with child sex abuse offences

A Gold Coast man has faced a Coffs court charged with child sex abuse offences, accused of sending videos of himself masturbating to a minor on the popular app Snapchat.

Glendon Darrell Morris has been charged with child sex abuse offences.

A Gold Coast man has been accused of a series of child sex abuse offences, including sending videos of himself masturbating to a 12-year-old girl on mobile phone app Snapchat.

Glendon Darrell Morris has been charged with 20 offences in total ranging from 2009-2016.

It’s alleged the 52-year-old had sexual intercourse with two separate girls aged under 13.

He has also been charged with aggravated sexual assaults, including against a seven-year-old girl at Urunga, south of Coffs Harbour.

Police allege the Gold Coast man, 52, sent videos of himself masturbating on Snapchat to a minor in Urunga.

Police also allege Morris sent the Snapchat videos to the girl, aged 12, in 2015-2016.

Morris has been charged with:

• Eight counts of indecent assault on a person under 16 years of age.
• Three counts of having sexual intercourse with a person over 10 and under 14.
• Three counts of aggravated sex assault – victim under the age of 16 years.
• Three counts of having sexual intercourse with a person over 10 and under 14.
• Two counts of committing an act of indecency with a person under 16 years.
• One count of using a carriage service to send indecent material to person under 16.

Morris faced Coffs Harbour Local Court on January 25.

No pleas were entered to the charges.

One count of inciting a person under 16 years to commit an act of indecency was withdrawn.

Morris faced Coffs Harbour Local Court.

Morris resides in Mermaid Beach, Queensland, according to police documents.

He was refused bail.

Morris will remain behind bars ahead of his next appearance in Coffs Harbour District Court on February 15.
