A young Coffs Harbour man is accused of preying on intoxicated women at a Coffs Harbour pub by luring them to a nearby car park, offering a lift home and raping them.
Faridoon Khaksar, 22, faces two charges of sexual intercourse without consent and one charge of sexual touching another person without consent.
His case came back before Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday.
Khaksar faced Magistrate Theresa Hamilton via audiovisual link from Clarence Correctional Centre, where he is being remanded in custody.
Khaksar is an Afghan refugee and mechanic who lives with family members not far from the Coast Hotel, according to court documents.
The allegations relate to two separate woman on different dates in April and October last year.
They were drinking at the Coast Hotel on the Pacific Highway in the Coffs Harbour CBD, according to police.
Police allege Khaksar offered to give the women a lift home in his Holden Commodore before taking them to a nearby car park and having sexual intercourse without their consent.
It’s also alleged Khaksar declined to take one of the woman home and took her back to the hotel, while on another occasion he called a friend to take one of the women home.
Khaksar was on bail at the time of the second alleged offence, but it was revoked on October 13 after a warrant was issued for his arrest, police facts state.
The charges carry a maximum penalty of 14 years imprisonment.
Khaksar’s case was adjourned to March 14.
