Man hurt: Tree fall at Dirty Creek near Coffs Harbour

Emergency services are relaying a man with multiple injuries after he was hit by a falling tree the “size of a telegraph pole” just north of Coffs Harbour this evening. Here’s the latest on an unfolding situation.

Emergency services are relaying a man with multiple injuries after he was hit by a falling tree the “size of a telegraph pole” just north of Coffs Harbour this evening.

NSW Ambulance will ferry the man, thought to be aged in his 60s, to the waiting Westpac Rescue Helicopter at Dirty Creek near Corindi.

An ambulance spokesperson said it’s understood the man has suffered possible head, chest and shoulder injuries, and grazes.

The ambulance service received the first call at 4.55pm on Monday, November 21, and the patient has been extricated from under the tree, in the vicinity of Range Road.

It is understood winching was not required to free the man.
