Man dies after single vehicle crash at Bucca, Coffs Harbour

Emergency workers managed to free a young man from a ute after it struck a pole near Coffs Harbour - but he died at the scene. What is known so far.

Police are appealing to the public for any relevant dashcam footage as they investigate a tragic single vehicle crash at Bucca, near Coffs Harbour, yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Bucca Rd following reports of a ute crashing into a pole about 4.30pm on Sunday.

Fire and Rescue NSW members freed the driver from the wreck and NSW Ambulance paramedics started treatment, but the man died at the scene.

While the driver has not been formally identified, he is believed to be aged in his 30s.

Coffs/Clarence Police District officers established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
