It’s been a big year already for The Big Banana Fun Park, as Coffs Harbour’s premier theme park continues to roll out fresh thrills.

Just a week back The Big Banana was featured in a fresh coin set by the Royal Australian Mint profiling Australia’s Big Things.

Now the tourist attraction has announced it will soon be home to a new age take on dodgem cars.

Described as ‘interactive bumper cars’, drivers will be let loose and packing heat with an infra-red shooting system and a digital scoring display.

The new Bumper Cars attraction is designed to captivate both families and thrillseekers and is manufactured by the market leading Italian supplier Eurogames.

Its original ‘shoot and spin’ function sends the bumper cars into a twirl when shot, and the digital scoreboard keeps track of the mayhem.

“We are delighted to introduce an attraction that not only adds excitement for our customers, but also aligns with our strategic vision for the future,” The Big Banana CEO Michael Lockman said.

“The bumper cars attraction is designed for customers as young as three years of age, making it an exciting experience for the entire family.

“This facility has been designed to operate in all weather conditions and is expected to offer a competitive edge over other destinations, as it will be a unique attraction in regional NSW.”

The bumper cars attraction is expected to open later this year.

The addition is the latest card rolled by the park which also has plans to add a rollercoaster and escape rooms.
