Highway reopens after B-double rollover near Coffs Harbour

Emergency services have finally cleared the northbound lanes of the Pacific Highway north of Coffs Harbour following a truck rollover in the early hours of Monday, August 15.
The incident occurred around 4am and the two northbound lanes were closed for much of the day.
A heavy vehicle tow truck was on scene to help deal with the salvage and clear the highway.
The B-double was travelling north when it lost control and rolled north of the Woolgoolga exit around the Greys Road intersection.
Paramedics treated the driver for minor injuries.
Firefighters were seen with large drums attempting to siphon off fuel.
It is understood the truck was carrying building materials.
Traffic diversions were in place along The Solitary Islands Way.
The diversions were suitable for all vehicles, however motorists were advised to allow additional time for their trip.
The M1 Motorway is one of the busiest roads in Australia, carrying in excess of 150,000 vehicles per day, including over 12,000 heavy vehicles.
The $850 million Sapphire to Woolgoolga Pacific Highway upgrade opened to traffic in 2016.
