Bellingen was heaving in a good way as thousands milled about the community market on Saturday morning.

More than 200 stalls boasted everything from plants and bric-a-brac through to food and handcrafted art.

And it wouldn’t be ‘Bello’ if there wasn’t live music and dance.

The throng had come from far and wide, including Maclean in the north and busloads from Port Macquarie.

In the near-run to Christmas, treasure hunters were looking for those special gifts rarely found through the regular retail channels.
