Coffs police looking for a man after hit and run at Townsend near Grafton
Police allege the driver of the Land Cruiser checked the damage before speeding away from the scene.

Police have released images of a man they want to talk to in relation to an incident which left a vehicle damaged on the side of the road.
Coffs Clarence Police have released the images taken from video surveillance camera of a man in a mask in a blue cap and hoodie and a ute.
Officers believe he may be able to help with their investigation into the incident.
About 12.50pm on Sunday (July 25) a white Land Cruiser and a grey Mercedes Benz were parked on Re Road, Townsend, when the driver of the Land Cruiser returned to the vehicle and reversed.
It collided heavily with the Mercedes. The male driver got out of the ute and inspected the damage before returning to his vehicle.
Police allege he then sped away from the scene.
Officers from Coffs Clarence Police District are now investigating the incident.

Deputy Unit Commander at NSW SES Coffs Harbour Martin Wells avoids using the “q word” (quiet) but says there has been no calls in the last two weeks.
Early last month vertical rescue crews were called to a challenging 12-hour search and rescue in forests north of Coffs Harbour.
Tragically the man was located dead at the base of a cliff in the Sherwood Forest area.
He was later identified as the father of a young family and well-respected nurse Gordon Grant.
Mr Grant was on a camping trip celebrating his birthday at the time of the freak accident.
