A teenager has been charged after police confiscated a firearm during a vehicle search near Coffs Harbour last week.
Coffs/Clarence Police District officers responded to reports of an unauthorised anti-logging protest at Martells Rd, Urunga, about 9.20am last Thursday.
Police spoke with an 18-year-old woman driving a Honda SUV and her passenger, a 17-year-old boy.
In a subsequent search of the vehicle, police allegedly located and seized a firearm.
The pair were released pending further inquiries.
The woman has been served a Court Attendance Notice for allegedly possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm.
She is to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on September 27.
A number of arrests have been made at anti-logging protests in the state forests surrounding Coffs Harbour in recent weeks.
