The lucky winner didn’t realise they had become a millionaire until over a week later. It was one of two massive lotto wins for Coffs Coast locals that week.

It’s better late than never for one lucky Moonee Beach lottery player, who discovered they had won an incredible $1 million over a week later.
The Mid North Coast resident made the life-changing discovery after they checked their Monday Lotto ticket, which was one of the two division one winning entries in the July 26 draw.
It was the second big win during the week for local lottery players, with a Coffs Harbour woman also scoring $5 million in the Tuesday Oz Lotto draw 1432.
The woman, who chose to remain anonymous, said she had been waiting for her division one win for years. She revealed she planned to spend her multimillion win on paying off the mortgage, taking small trips around Australia and sharing it with her family.
“I hadn’t checked my ticket yet. I had absolutely no idea. I have been telling people for ages that I was going to win Oz Lotto one day. I really, really knew I was going to win,” she said.
But it’s unknown how the newly revealed winner of the Monday Lotto draw will spend their windfall, as they chose to remain completely anonymous and celebrate – albeit belatedly – in private.
Moonee Beach News & Gifts owners Bronwyn and Graham Finch were delighted to hear they’d sold their first division one winning entry.
“We are so happy for our winner,” they said.
“It is such great news for our local community, it’s a pleasure to know we have played a part in changing someone’s life.”
