From classic cars to bagpipes the Sawtell Anzac Day march made its way along First Ave under the beautiful fig trees in sunny conditions.
Hundreds turned out at 11am to watch the colourful parade. Schoolchildren carried banners and marched alongside ex-service people.
Mayor Denise Knight, who lives in Sawtell, also took part.
The parade concluded at the Lyle Rose RSL Memorial Park with a community service at 11.30.
Earlier in the morning communities including Bellingen, Sawtell and Woolgoolga attended Dawn Services.
Anzac Day 2020 was marked by the moving images of residents standing in their driveways and lighting candles at dawn.
Some Coffs Harbour residents like Paul and Roslyn Owens were keen to recreate the mood again this year.
Although COVID-19 health concerns have eased considerably, lingering concerns prompted several RSL Sub Branches on the Coffs Coast to come together for a combined service at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium at 9am.
Earlier this month, a special exemption was granted by the NSW Government to double the caps – allowing up to 10,000 people to attend Sydney’s Anzac Day parade in the CBD and 5,000 to attend commemorations across regional NSW.
