Christopher Reinhard, Brendon Reinhard, Matthew Reinhard accused of attack in Toormina

One man has made bail while two co-accused remain remanded in custody on remand after the trio’s alleged involvement in a terrifying home invasion attack in Coffs Harbour.

One man has made bail while two co-accused remain remanded in custody on remand after the trio’s alleged involvement in a terrifying home invasion attack in Coffs Harbour.

Toormina man Christopher Reinhard, 28, accused of brandishing a “large kitchen knife” in the alleged attack, appeared at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Tuesday.

Police allege the group stormed the Toormina Rd home at Toormina on October 19 last year.

In documents before the court, police allege Christopher Reinhard wounded the alleged victim during the attack.

He was allegedly accompanied by Brendon Reinhard, 27, and Matthew Reinhard, 22, who is accused of carrying a baseball bat.

The trio allegedly entered the dwelling with intent to commit the serious indictable offence of assault and all face a charge of special aggravated break and enter with intent to wound.

Christopher Reinhard was originally granted bail on October 28, with a $5000 bail surety and curfew hours of 7pm to 6am, with conditions forbidding him from entering Toormina Rd or within 100 metres of the street – and from contacting his co-accused.

During his appearance on Tuesday Christopher Reinhard successfully applied to have his curfew hours changed to 10pm to 6am for work attendance purposes.

He has not yet entered a plea.

Matthew Reinhard appeared in District Court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to specially aggravated enter dwelling with intent to wound, with a trial date set for September 14 next year. He remains bail refused.

Brendon Reinhard appeared on Tuesday in Coffs Harbour Local Court where no plea was entered, and he will return to court on December 23.

He faces an additional charge of destroying/damaging property.

Christopher Reinhard returns to Coffs Harbour Local Court on January 27.
