A piece of Mullumbimby’s iconic Mount Chincogan has hit the market.
170 Dudgeons Road, Mullumbimby has been listed for sale with an $8 million price tag.
Marketed by Byron Shire Real Estate, the 43.71 hectare property has been listed as “the ultimate private estate” in the listing.
“Become the next custodian of the north face of Mount Chincogan,” the listing said.
The same mountain, which is the star of Mullumbimby’s unique landscape, is home to the Chinny Charge race, which returned in 2017 after a lengthy break.
The event did not go ahead last year because of the pandemic but is scheduled to return in September.
It’s generally the only chance the public can visit the mountain; meaning the sale of its northern side is a rare opportunity.
“This is an unparalleled opportunity to secure 108 acres to build your dream home and create an estate to outshine all others,” the listing said.
“The position offers exceptional privacy and a perfect north east aspect with stunning 270-degree views to Cape Byron Lighthouse, Brunswick Heads, Mount Warning and over the hinterland.”
The property has a “one-of-a-kind” build site for a potential home, along with a “fully serviced shed” which could serve as potential accommodation during construction.
“Set back two kilometres from Coolamon Scenic Drive, along a country lane, the property offers complete solitude and is surrounded by natural beauty,” the listing said.
According to the listing, the scenic property is eight minutes’ drive to Mullumbimby, 15 minutes to the Beach and Brunswick Heads, 25 minutes to Byron Bay and 40 minutes to Gold Coast Airport.
“This truly is a rare opportunity to secure a one-of-a-kind lifestyle property in the Byron Shire,” the listing said.
