A woman has been accused of kicking a police officer and attacking a security guard when she was turfed out of a Byron Bay venue.
Mullumbimby woman Martina Davis, 42, has faced Byron Bay Local Court charged with assaulting a police officer, common assault and hindering or resisting a police officer.
She has not entered any pleas to the charges.
Tweed-Byron Police District officers were called to a Jonson St premises in Byron CBD following reports of an assault about 12.30am on August 11.
Police allege a security guard was attacked when he tried to evict Davis from the venue.
Tweed-Byron Police District officers arrested Davis and it’s alleged she resisted and kicked an officer.
Davis sat quietly in the public gallery before she was briefly called to appear in the court late last month.
Magistrate Karen Stafford granted Davis strict conditional bail to face the court again in September.
