When he was 17 Daniel began his career as a DJ and friends say he was born to perform.

He was a pioneer of the dance music scene in the North Coast playing across the region to packed crowds.

“If Daniel was putting the party on it was done right,” Mrs Webber said.

He wanted to bring dance music north after attending a festival at a young age and would go to great lengths to ensure everyone had a good time.

He once convinced police to keep a party going so that drunk people wouldn’t be left on the streets and wanted to create responsible events.

“He had that way about him. He was very responsible and he would run events properly. It was all about enjoying the music,” Mrs Webber said.

His mother said he was a good big brother and an easy going kid growing up.

Daniel’s sister Michelle said he would make a strong effort to include people and make people feel comfortable.

“Daniel would go up to people who had no confidence or didn’t know how to talk to girls and include them in his group at school,” she said.

On Facebook, fellow DJ Brad King said Daniel was “an absolute legend of a human who played a huge part in the underground music scene in Northern NSW.”

“Webber helped me out a lot in my early days of DJing around Byron, hooking me up with many gigs.”

He said Daniel was a “super humble dude and the life of the party.”

Tessa Shaw of Coolangatta said he had an “epic personality and skills”.

“He touched the hearts of everyone he met,” Ms Shaw said.
