Byron Bay woman’s mission to track down ‘elusive servo stud’ after chance Suffolk Park encounter

In a story ripped straight from a romance novel, a Byron Bay woman is gushing over a “Danielle Steel” moment at a petrol station, where a chance encounter with an “elusive servo stud” has led her on a desperate search to find him.

In a story ripped straight from a romance novel, a Byron Bay woman is gushing over her very own “Danielle Steel” moment at a petrol station, where a chance encounter with an “elusive servo stud” has led her on a desperate search to find him.

The “barefooted” mystery man – with “dark hair and olive complexion” – left such an impression on the woman at the Suffolk Park servo that it prompted her to emergency dial her best friend Ashley Em.

Ms Em said her gal pal was besotted by the fleeting flirtation, and a subsequent post on a Byron Bay community Facebook page erupted with interest, with some even suggesting she track down CCTV of his car rego in a bid to reunite.

The woman had a “Danielle Steel” moment, but the plot could also come from a Mills & Boon romance novel.

But Ms Em said her best friend is less ‘Single White Female’ stalker and more ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ in her tireless pursuit for a decent bloke.

“My best friend had a Danielle Steel moment with a male at the Suffolk Park Service Station at approximately 10am on Saturday morning,” she wrote in the detailed post.

“You know, that Bold and the Beautiful stare that lasts way too long. They made eyes briefly before she offered to move her car whilst she awaited her cup of caffeinated morning glory, so he who remains unnamed could move his car, parked firmly close to hers.

“As she returned to the counter inside, he stood still, bare footed, dark haired, olive complexion as though he had just returned from the beaches of Byron Baes, he firmly asserted that he ‘hoped she had a good day’. Butterflies flew.”

Ms Em said her friend then had “tingles fruitier than a packet of rainbow sherbet”.

“The looks back and forward were enough for her to call me and tell me, ‘OMG I felt it, I should have asked for his number’ as he drove off in his NSW registered Subaru Forrester.

“If anyone knows of who this elusive servo stud is, please do us all a favour and help her find her missed moment of manliness she so deservedly wants in her life.”

The post attracted scores of comments, with some genuinely shipping the pair and others poking fun.

Wayne Stokes wrote: “Let’s hope he gets to park his car in her garage soon.”

Chris Martin was hooked on the romance and said he would be “obviously” following the outcome.

Greg Brazel said he was willing to go on a “reconnaissance” mission for the woman and that it would be an excuse to have a meat pie at the servo.

Bec Martinez pleaded for updates and said “I’m sold!”

Kyleigh Anne said she was hoping for a “fairy tale ending”.

Gael Nash was less celebratory, claiming the man was a “serial servo tease from Byron to Mullumbimby”.

Sharon Davis reckons the bloke “was probably married”.

MORE TO COME.
