A plan to apply for bail for a former Home and Away actor on serious drug supply charges has been delayed.

Former teen actor Putu Sugiarta Winchester-Stanton, 44 – who appeared as a teen on Home and Away and Heartbreak High – and his co-accused, Bodene Robertson, 32, and Clayton Macdonald, 44 remain in custody bail refused on a range of cocaine supply charges.

They were among a group arrested over the alleged supply of cocaine in a string of raids across the Byron Shire in April this year.

Police will allege they seized about 340 grams of cocaine and more than $25,000 in cash across four search warrants in the Byron Bay, Mullumbimby and Bangalow areas.

Defence lawyer John Weller, representing those three men, had previously indicated he would apply for bail on Mr Winchester-Stanton’s behalf.

But he told Byron Bay Local Court on Monday this process had been put on hold because of a delay associated with the rehabilitation centre his client wished to attend.

Police prosecutor Val Short asked for the case to be adjourned to Lismore Local Court on September 15.

Mr Weller told the court he would follow up with his client’s prospective rehabilitation service, Victory House, in the meantime.

The court heard he would likely then apply for Winchester-Stanton to be released on bail.

For the time being, none of the three men applied for bail and it was formally refused by Magistrate Karen Stafford.

Mr Winchester-Stanton is facing a large number of charges, including knowingly directing a criminal group, various cocaine supply charges and drug possession.

The other accused are facing related cocaine supply charges.

Kirin Papa, 31, who is on bail, also had his charge of cocaine supply mentioned before the court on Monday.

He and his twin brother, Zain Papa, will return to court in August.

Kayne Graeme Vandermerwe, 30, who is named as a co-accused in court documents, is due to face court on July 26.

The men have lodged no formal pleas while Alyse Rose Cameron, 34, has pleaded not guilty to taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug and participating in a criminal group activity.
