The marathon that is Bluesfest has reached end game, as the punters at Byron Bay rise for one final time on the fifth and final day.
Campers David Lee and Annett Lee from Casuarina are looking forward to another on point day.
“The bands have been excellent, they put on the best entertainment and the food has been high-quality,” Ms Lee said.
“It hasn’t been as busy as it has in the past, which isn’t good for Bluesfest, but it makes it easier to get around and there are no queues.”
The Lees though have had to contend with a remote campsite placement, where they claim the amenities have come up short.
“There are eight toilets and eight showers for hundreds of people at the campsite,” Ms Lee said.
Mr Lee: “The grass also wasn’t cut so luckily it hasn’t been wet.”
The weather has been kind across the festival dates, with fans mostly dressed in shorts, t-shirts, wide brim hats and sunnies, while sipping the ever present Stone and Wood beverages.
There’s been a buzz of excitement and anticipation in the air as people waited for their favourite artists to hit the stage.
In the opening days of the event mums and dads and young children got into the swing, while grandparents enjoy themselves by having a dance from their seats.
Visitors have said the event has been more organised than in previous years, and that getting into the festival and finding a park was easy.
Police have been patrolling the area in groups to ensure the safety of festival goers.
This has been the 34th rendition of the beloved Australian music festival.
The weather for the most part has been out of the box awesome for Easter and a far cry from the 2022 instalment, when flash flooding turned the site into a mud bath.
In usual Bluesfest fashion, punters turned out in flower crowns, gumboots and cowboy hats, with more than 60,000 people expected to attend the festival this weekend.
The first day’s headliners included Gang Of Youths, Paolo Nutini, Beck, and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats.
