Hernani: motorcyclist dies after crash with vehicle
A young female motorcyclist has tragically died after colliding with a vehicle in rural northern NSW.

A young female motorcyclist has tragically died following a two-vehicle crash in the state’s Northern Rivers.
About 9.30am on April 7, emergency services were called to Waterfall Way, Hernani – about 30km west of Dorrigo in the Clarence Valley region – following reports of a crash.
“On arrival, officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Police District found a car and motorcycle had collided,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the female motorcyclist died at the scene.”
The rider is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 20s.
The 23-year-old male driver of the car was not injured and was taken to Dorrigo Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene was established, and investigations have commenced into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
