DRAMATIC footage has emerged of the moment Australian Federal Police swarmed several properties across Sydney as part of a major police operation investigating an international drug syndicate, allegedly involving the Ibrahim brothers.

In one of the biggest attacks on organised crime in Australian history, heavily armed police executed 30 search warrants across Sydney as part of Operation Veda — including one on the property of well-known Kings Cross identity John Ibrahim’s Dover Heights mansion.

John Ibrahim has not been arrested.

The intense vision shows police, head to toe in protective gear, swarming properties from the eastern suburbs to the city’s west.

The first part of the footage shows police storming up to the door of a property in Rose Bay in Sydney’s east during the early hours of this morning.

A team of officers are seen leading a man wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and a baseball cap from the home with his hands cuffed behind his back.

The man is then led into a waiting AFP van as flashing blue and red lights paint the backdrop for the dramatic raid.

The most dramatic scenes come out of the raid on a home in Bankstown, where a man wearing blue pyjamas is pinned down on his knees in the gutter by an AFP officer, waiting for the police car to arrive.

The vision moves to Dover Heights, where a man wearing a white jumper is escorted by a detective from a property and into a waiting black detective car.

Then teams of AFP officers are seen hauling equipment into John Ibrahim’s property. Police crews have been at the mansion all morning digging through poolside gardens, scooping into a fish pond and looking at a section of the roof.

A second home was also raided three doors away from the Ibrahim mansion. Teams of investigators left with boxes and evidence bags, and the dog squad was also on scene.

Next in Bellevue Hill, APF officers wearing heavy duty uniforms escorted a man up the side of a property in the affluent suburb. Officers were stationed along the entire perimeter during the raid.

The man is then hauled into a waiting AFP truck and taken away.

The AFP have arrested a total of 17 people across Australia, Dubai and the Netherlands and have seized more than 1.9 tonnes of narcotics destined for Australian streets.

In Sydney alone, nine men and one women were arrested, while five men were arrested in Dubai- including Michael and Fadi Ibrahim.
