Where to find the 46 pharmacies offering free Covid-19 vaccinations

From Tweed to Coffs Harbour, pharmacies have Covid-19 vaccinations ready and appointments available. Here is the full list.

From Tweed to Coffs Harbour, 46 pharmacies are now offering free Covid-19 vaccinations.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia has created an online map of chemists that offer Covid-19 vaccinations.

According to the online resource, there are around 16 chemists offering the AstraZeneca vaccine on the Tweed, 17 in the Byron/Ballina/Lismore areas, three in Grafton and 10 in the Coffs Harbour area.

A spokesperson for the guild said the data was populated by the pharmacies themselves when they have received the doses and have bookings available for people.

The guild decided to offer the tool as the Federal Government — who is managing the vaccine rollout to pharmacies — does not have a list of chemists currently offering it, although the information is available via the NSW Government’s eligibility checker.

According to the NSW Health website, residents must be aged over 18 to get the AstraZeneca vaccine at pharmacies.

The first two pharmacies that received the vaccine in Northern NSW were located in Coraki and Kyogle, as part of a pilot program for towns with only one chemist.

Page MP Kevin Hogan released a list of chemists on the Northern Rivers offering the doses on August 13, but some of them confirmed they had not received the vaccines yet.

An estimated 100 pharmacies have signed up for the vaccine delivery program between Tweed and Port Macquarie.
