THE historic Royal Hotel in Harrisville will go under the hammer tomorrow.
The renovated Queen St property comes complete with a public bar, restaurant, commercial kitchen, function room and bedrooms.
It also includes all appliances, cutlery, crockery, glassware, tapware and memorabilia.
All it needs now is a licence to serve alcohol.
Owner for the past five years, Chris Kallis, said it was a regrettable sale.
“I don’t want to leave this place, I absolutely love it,” Mr Kallis said.
“I love being here, but unfortunately I’m not well enough to keep the place going so I’ve got to move on.”
Mr Kallis said the pub could make a nice restaurant or cafe in the future.
“It could even make a nice family house; it’d be pretty easy to restore all the rooms and the internal walls,” he said.
Ray White Commercial agent and auctioneer Trent Quinn said the Royal had plenty to offer.
“The new owners can walk in and walk out with everything they see here except the pool table and jukebox,” Mr Quinn said.
The auction will be held at Ray White Ipswich, 81 Limestone St, Ipswich, at 2.30pm.
