HAVE you ever despaired over someone you have lost, wondering if they are well and happy?

Each birthday, anniversary, Easter and Christmas, sadness despite your own children's love.

Every day I am consumed by what I could have done differently to hold together my estranged family, fractured after our beloved father died.

What should I have said to mend the hurt that drove my brother away? Where is the beautiful big heart that made us laugh and gave the biggest bear hugs?

Do his beautiful girls appreciate how treasured our memories of happiness with Paul are to us? I hope so.

At least that would be a comfort to know they love him as much as I still do.

So many memories to relish and years to bridge with love and compassion drive despair to the forefront as this letter is penned.

Can distance and pain be beaten by the knowledge that a brother is always within your heart?

Please ask the Pauls you know if they are my Paul and will contact home.
