WHAT'S the most important thing to you about Christmas Day?

Is it the presents? Is it seeing your kids or grandkids open their presents or maybe the guilt-free day of indulging on too much pavlova and trifle?

I think most of you reading this would agree the best and most important part about the holidays is spending time with your family and friends.

Christmas Days have been pretty stock standard in the Philp household each year, however it was about four years ago we made a mutual decision to no longer by each other presents.

Although my mum is known to break this rule every single year since the agreement was made, it has highlighted what the day is about for my brothers, parents and cousins.

Christmas Day is much more than presents or receiving items which mostly end up in a cupboards by mid-January.

For me, Christmas Day is all about my family's presence.
