Firefighters have been called to a unit fire in Lennox Head
Three fire crews have swiftly responded to a North Coast home after a smoke alarm was triggered.

Food left on a stove has sparked an emergency response at a North Coast home.
A NSW Rural Fire Service spokesman said they were alerted to reports of a unit fire about 12.45pm.
“Crews arrived on scene about 10 minutes later and confirmed foodstuff alight,” he said.
The fire was marked as contained at 1.07pm.
The spokesman said no one was hurt or injured and the fire was contained to the stove.
He said it was a smoke alarm activation that led to the initial call coming in.
“It’s a good reminder working smoke alarms save lives,” he said.
Two RFS crews attended the scene, supported by Fire and Rescue NSW from Ballina.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman said there were reports of smoke issuing from a bedroom at the Ross Lane property.
It is understood the unit affected is within the Sanctuary Lennox Head retirement village.
