Video has captured the moment a Sydney construction boss repeatedly attacked a Star Casino security guard and threatened to “f*** (him) over” after a boozy night on the dice.

The footage shows Azi Rostam, 35, throwing a glass into the guard’s face in the early hours of the morning of December 1 last year after his mate had just done the same.

The pair had told security they “weren’t causing any trouble” after his friend admitted to having six drinks, documents tendered to the Downing Centre Local Court state.

“I’m not afraid of you I will f*** you over,” Rostam said to the guard according to court documents.

It is at that point construction boss Rostam and the man launch their drinks at one guard who falls and stumbles back in shock after the glass bounces off his face.

The shocking vision shows Rostam continuing the altercation, attempting a slap which narrowly missed the guard and throwing a wayward kick in his direction.

Court documents state Rostam also continued “feinting” several times in his direction.

The boozy pre-Christmas encounter landed both men in court.

After the guards had detained the men Rostam told arriving police “I have done nothing wrong” – court documents show.

After complaining of forearm pain in the police vehicle Rostam, according to court documents, was “infuriated” an ambulance did not arrive and “struck the inside of the caged vehicle several times”.

Rostam avoided conviction on Friday and was handed a 12 month conditional release order after pleading guilty to common assault.

His lawyer Javid Faiz argued Rostam’s actions were “not acceptable” and that there was a low risk of him re-offending but submitted he was “acting in self defence”.

His friend had pleaded guilty on the first occasion and has handed a fine after applying for the case to be dismissed on mental health grounds.
