Two more staff departures — one at a senior executive level — have shaken staff at Greyhound Racing NSW’s head office.

GRNSW CFO Stuart Pauly packed up his desk and departed a fortnight ago. His exit follows that of IT expert Jason Sharp.

Pauly’s departure comes after this reporter recently revealed the NSW Gaming and Racing Minister David Harris has referred to ICAC an internal complaint from GRNSW’s former company secretary Ian Londish concerning the culture and governance at the organisation.

Londish made the allegations in a letter of complaint sent to the GRNSW Board in February.

The complaint subsequently triggered an internal investigation involving at least one outside agency that is believed to be ongoing.

The departures coincide with word GRNSW representatives met with the new Labor gaming minister.

Sources have told this column newly installed GRNSW CEO Rob Macaulay and chairman of the Greyhounds’ board, ex-Nationals senator John “Wacka” Williams, had a meeting with the minister on July 17.

This comes after the minister previously cancelled a meeting with GRNSW reps at the start of the month.

A spokesman for the minister confirmed the July 17 meeting but refused to detail the agenda, except to say “as a new minister, in the Minns Labor government, David Harris has been meeting with a variety of stakeholders across his many portfolios”.

Macaulay did not respond to a request for comment yesterday.
