A multi-agency search is continuing for a man missing in Sydney’s north shore after his car was found near a bridge in bushland over the weekend.
More than 80 NSW SES and Rural Fire Service volunteers have joined NSW Police in their desperate search for Adam Coulson, who has been missing more than four days.
Mr Coulson, 52, was last seen on Thursday night at an address on the Old Northern Road in Middle Dural.
Distressed family and friends notified police after they were unable to locate or contact Mr Coulson.
His car - a white Toyota Hilux with NSW plates CZ53JQ - was found on Sunday at 7:35am near a bridge at Galston Gorge.
Galston Gorge is a valley located in the Berowra Valley Regional Park in Sydney separating Galston from Hornsby Heights, with a number of walking trails, waterfalls and areas used by hikers, cyclists and abseilers.
Mr Coulson is described as being of caucasian appearance with an olive complexion, about 180cm tall, solid build, and has greying brown hair and a beard.
He is known among The Castle Hill community for his psychic tarot and palmistry readings at the New Moon store in the Castle Towers shopping centre, with more than 25 years reading experience.
Hundreds of customers and locals have commented to Mr Coulson and his family on social media following the news of his disappearance, with relatives also taking to Facebook to plead with the community to help them find him.
“If anyone saw Adam or his car on Friday or in the last couple of days, please speak up,” Isabella Cali wrote.
“He is a much loved and valued member of our family. We are worried sick. He doesn’t have any social media, so commenting does nothing. Please speak up.
“We just want him to come home safely to us.”
Galston Gorge will remain closed from 9am on Tuesday with traffic contraflows in place while search crews resume their work.
NSW Police issued a geo-text message to those in the Hornsby and Hills Shire “appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the Hills Shire” on Saturday.
NSW SES The Hills Unit has assured locals sufficient resources have been acquired for the search and have asked community members to avoid visiting the gorge or surrounds.
“While we appreciate the concern from the local community we do ask that members of public please refrain from attending the search area,” they said.
Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
