CONFUSION around wearing masks while exercising has been clarified as police report the Territory public as a whole have been following Covid-19 rules and co-operating with authorities.
The Covid-19 restrictions came into force at 1pm Sunday.
Northern Watch Commander Acting Senior Sergeant Michael Fields said police had been in public areas reminding people to wear a mask.
“Members of the public have on the whole been compliant with the latest Chief Health Officer direction to wear masks,” A/Sen Sgt Fields said.

The NT Government has clarified mask wearing this morning on its Facebook page, Secure NT, stating people must wear one when exercising.
“Remember, if you’re leaving your residence, you must wear your mask at all times, including when exercising. Masks are not required when travelling in a private vehicle.”
A/Sen Sgt Fields said since the lockdown people had been reporting breaches to police.
“Anyone wishing to report a breach of Covid restrictions can do so on 131444,” he said.
“More detailed information on the current Covid restrictions can be located on the Secure NT website.”
