Darwin Watch House closed, first aid training cancelled as part of NT Police and St John response to lockdown
NT Police and St John Ambulance NT have announced changes to operations and service delivery, in response to the Top End’s Covid-19 48-hour lockdown.

NT Police and St John Ambulance NT have announced changes to operations and service delivery, in response to the Top End’s Covid-19 48-hour lockdown.
NT Police will temporarily close front counter facilities to the Darwin, Parap, Casuarina and Humpty Doo police stations, and at the Peter McAulay Centre. The Darwin Watch House will also close.
The Palmerston Police Station front counter will remain open from 7am to 7pm, seven days a week, while the Palmerston Watch House will become the main facility.

Those who need to report a non-emergency are encouraged to submit a police report via the ‘report a non-emergency’ form at pfes.nt.gov.au/reportonline
St John NT will temporarily cease operations of first aid training courses in Casuarina, Parap and Palmerston on June 28 and 29.
The St John NT retail store in Winnellie will also close during this time, along with the Casuarina Centre offices.
Northern volunteer meetings and community education classes will be closed both days.
“We will constantly monitor staffing levels to ensure that we can meet the needs of our community and manage the health and wellbeing of our staff and volunteers,” Ambulance Services director Andrew Thomas said.
“Staff have been reminded to be vigilant in their use of PPE for their and the community’s safety.”
St John NT’s mechanical workshops will remain open to service ambulance, consumer and fleet vehicles, and administration staff will work from home.
