There were 281 new cases of Covid-19 in the NT.

There are currently 14 patients in hospital with no one requiring oxygen and three patients in ICU.

The number of active cases in the NT is 2102.

There were 306 new cases of Covid-19 in the NT.

There are currently 22 patients in hospital with one person requiring oxygen and two patients in ICU.

There were 716 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are currently 123 people in hospital, with 10 patients requiring oxygen and three patients in ICU.

One more person died with Covid-19 bringing the total number of deaths to 16.

There were 627 cases of Covid-19 in the NT.

There are currently 123 people in hospital, with 21 patients requiring oxygen. There are three people in ICU.

There were 546 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are currently 127 people in hospital, with 16 patients requiring oxygen. There are two patients in ICU.

There are about 6308 active Covid cases in the NT.

One more person has died with Covid-19, bringing the total number to 15.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2022

There were 1050 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 143 people in hospital with 25 patients requiring oxygen and one person in ICU.

There are currently about 7104 active cases in the Territory.

It comes on the Territory’s deadliest day so far with three people dying with Covid.

There were 1086 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 156 people in hospital with 22 patients requiring oxygen and one person in ICU.

There are cuurently about 7233 active cases in the Territory.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2022

There were 757 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the Northern Territory.

There are 164 people in hospital with 19 patients needing oxygen. One patient is in ICU.

There are currently about 7229 active cases in the Territory.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2022

There were 757 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT, and another Covid death.

There are 164 people in hospital with 21 patients requiring oxygen and one person in ICU.

There are currently 7332 active cases of Covid-19 in the Territory.

Saturday February 12th’s new cases numbers was revised down to 1216 following a “data cleanse”.

A woman from Tiwi Islands was the tenth Covid fatality in the Territory since December 2021, and the seventh this month.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2022

There were 1383 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 170 people in hospital with 21 patients requiring oxygen and TWO people in the ICU.

There are currently about 7733active cases in the Territory.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 2022

There were 1096 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT, and two more deaths.

There are 164 people in hospital with 27 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently about 7379 active cases in the Territory.

A woman in her 40s, with underlying health conditions, died at home in Alice Springs on February 4, while a man in his 50s, also with underlying health conditions, died in the Alice Springs Hospital on February 7.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2022

There were 1195 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 168 people in hospital with 30 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently about 7411 active cases in the Territory.

Two women in their 60s passed away at Royal Darwin Hospital becoming the sixth and seventh people to die with Covid in the Territory.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2022

There were 1128 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 174 people in hospital with 28 patients requiring oxygen and four people in the ICU.

There are currently about 7460 active cases in the Territory.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2022

There were 1092new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 178 people in hospital with 33 patients requiring oxygen and five people in the ICU.

There are currently 7407 active cases in the Territory.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2022

There were 859 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 156 people in hospital with 29 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently 7370 active cases in the Territory.

The lock-in at Lajamanu will lift at 5pm.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2022

There were 867 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 158 people in hospital with 28 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

A man from the remote community of Kintore became the fifth person to die with Covid-19 in the Northern Territory.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2022

There were 1057 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 151 people in hospital with 22 patients requiring oxygen and four people in the ICU.

There are currently 7360 active cases in the Territory.

A Territory-wide mask mandate was scrapped after just one week.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2022

There were 1004 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 148 people in hospital with 16 patients requiring oxygen and six people in the ICU.

There are currently 7094 active cases in the Territory.

It comes as elective surgeries were paused in Territory hospitals.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2022

There were 977 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 141 people in hospital with 16 patients requiring oxygen and six people in the ICU.

There are currently 6900active cases in the Territory. 

The fourth Covid death was recorded in an Alice Springs aged care home.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2022

There were 1133 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 129 people in hospital with 13 patients requiring oxygen and five people in the ICU.

There are currently 6567active cases in the Territory. 

The third Covid death was recorded in a Central Australian community.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 01, 2022

There were 970 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT. There were also a further 152 cases added to Monday’s total.

There are 132 people in hospital with nine patients requiring oxygen and four people in the ICU.

There are currently 6,165 active cases in the Territory.

MONDAY, JANUARY 31, 2022

There were 760 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 114 people in hospital with nine patients requiring oxygen and five people in the ICU.

There are currently 5550 active cases in the Territory. 

SUNDAY, JANUARY 30, 2022

There were 849 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 121 people in hospital with eight patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently 5150 active cases in the Territory. 

It comes as the Territory scraps tests for interstate and international arrivals.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 29, 2022

There were 828 new cases of Covid-19 initially recorded in the NT, with a further 48 cases added on Sunday, bringing the total to 879 new cases.

There are 111people in hospital with 10 patients requiring oxygen and five people in the ICU.

There are currently 4650 active cases in the Territory. 

It comes as a Territory-wide outdoor mask mandate was implemented.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 28, 2022

There were 940 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 105 people in hospital with 14 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently 4200 active cases in the Territory. 

This comes as the Territory introduced plans to extend the vaccine mandate to the booster shot.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 27 2022

There were 626 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 95 people in hospital with 15 patients requiring oxygen and four people in the ICU.

There are currently 3700 active cases in the Territory.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26 2022

There were 492 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 84 people in hospital with 10 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently 3208 active cases in the Territory.

A further 278 cases were added to the January 26 numbers the day after bringing the total to 778 infections.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 25 2022

There were 517 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 72 people in hospital with 10 patients requiring oxygen and three people in the ICU.

There are currently 3200 active cases in the Territory.

MONDAY, JANUARY 24 2022

There were 286 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 78 people in hospital with eight patients requiring oxygen and four people in the ICU.

There are currently 3900 active cases in the Territory.

The rolling seven-day average has dropped to below 400.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 23, 2022

There were 212 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There remains 61 people in hospital with nine patients requiring oxygen and two person in the ICU.

One Tennant Creek Hospital Covid-19 ward staff member was confirmed to be one of the 212 new cases.

There are currently 3938 active cases in the Territory.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 22, 2022

There were 314 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There remains 63 people in hospital with six patients requiring oxygen and one person in the ICU.

It comes as the Alice Springs lockout was extended for another seven days.

There are currently 4048 active cases in the Territory.

Yesterday’s active cases were updated to be 3573 (up from 3507) but the NT Government could not explain why there was a difference of 475 when they say there are only 314 new cases.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 21, 2022

There were 432 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

Of these, 364 were positive cases from a Rapid Antigen Test.

There are currently 62 patients in hospital, with five patients requiring oxygen, and two people in the ICU.

The number of active cases in the NT is 3507.

The plans for back to school have been revealed.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 20, 2022

There were 459 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

Of these, 364 were positive cases from a Rapid Antigen Test.

There are currently 54 patients in hospital, with five patients requiring oxygen, and one person in the ICU.

The number of active cases in the NT is about 3970.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2022

There were 418new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 48 people in hospital with 7 people requiring acute care.

There is now no one in the ICU at the Alice Springs hospital.

The total number of people with the virus has now dropped to 4065.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 18, 2022

There were 625 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 43 people in hospital with 27 people requiring acute care.

There is one person in the ICU at the Alice Springs hospital.

The total number of people with the virus has now climbed to about 4142.

MONDAY, JANUARY 17, 2022

There were 284 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 39 people in hospital with 25 people requiring acute care.

There is one person in the ICU at Royal Darwin Hospital.

The total number of people with the virus has now climbed to about 3951.

Galiwin’ku and Yirrkala will go into lockdown for seven days and 72 hours respectively.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 16, 2022

There were 327 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 44 people in hospital with 13 people requiring acute care.

There is no-one in the ICU in the Royal Darwin Hospital.

The total number of people with the virus has now climbed to about 4000.

Alice Springs will go into a seven-day lockout from 3pm.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 15, 2022

There were 412 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 32 people in hospital with 18 people requiring acute care.

There is no-one in the ICU in the Royal Darwin Hospital.

The total number of people with the virus has now climbed to about 3730.

It comes as second person has died from the virus in the NT.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 14, 2022

There were 546 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 27 people in hospital.

One person is in the ICU in the Royal Darwin Hospital.

The total number of people with the virus has now climbed to about 3300.

It comes as the Government revealed no exposure site messages have been sent to people who have checked in to locations.

THURSDAY, JANUARY 13, 2022

There were 550 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are currently 24 patients in hospital, with 18 classified as acute hospital admissions including one in ICU.

The total number of people with the virus has now climbed to about 3000.

The numbers came as the Government announced a positive RAT would be “sufficient” to diagnose Covid-19.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2022

There were 352 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

Of these, 155 were positive cases from a rapid antigen test.

This takes the number of active cases in the NT to approximately 2,700.

There are currently 28 patients in hospital, with 16 classified as acute hospital admissions including two in ICU.

Only one patient is in ICU for treatment of COVID-19.

2470 Covid-19 PCR tests were processed across the NT yesterday.

The Yuendumu and Yuelamu lockdowns will remain in place until at least noon Saturday.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2022

There were 594 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

Data includes positive cases from Rapid Antigen Tests that have been reported to NT Health.

This takes the number of active cases in the NT to approximately 2,600.

There are currently 32 patients in hospital, with 11 classified as acute hospital admissions including one in ICU.

More than 2210 Covid-19 PCR tests were processed across the NT yesterday.

Meanwhile businesses have said the testing site at East Arm is posing a risk to motorists and road trains.

MONDAY, JANUARY 10, 2022

There were 403 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the NT.

There are 15 cases from Yuendumu. These include three cases that travelled from Alice Springs and close household contacts that have so far tested positive in Yuendumu. All cases and identified close contacts are in isolation. Further contact tracing is underway.

NT Health teams are working to undertake testing across the community and provide the COVID-19 vaccination.

There are currently 26 patients in hospital, with 11 classified as acute hospital admissions including two in ICU.

One ICU case is on a ventilator but the other’s admission to ICU is not related to COVID-19.

More than 2530 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 9, 2022

There were 481 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the NT.

There are cases from Yarralin, Gunbulunya and Yirrkala. All cases and identified close contacts are in isolation. Further contact tracing is underway. A single case is being investigated in Numbulwar but is yet to be confirmed a true positive.

There are currently 24 patients in hospital, with 8 classified as acute hospital admissions including one in ICU.

More than 2515 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 8, 2022

There were 594 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the Northern Territory.

Three cases are from Yuendumu. All cases and identified close contacts are in isolation. Further contact tracing is underway. A NT Health team is travelling to Yuendumu today to undertake testing and provide the COVID-19 vaccine.

There are currently 17 patients in hospital, with 6 classified as acute hospital admissions including one in ICU.

More than 3030 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday.
