Mr Garraway said three people were assessed by paramedics, with the male driver taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The two other drivers involved were assessed but did not need to be taken to hospital.

NT Police said a second three-car crash occurred only 80m away from the original crash, likely due to distracted driving.

Mr Garraway said no one was injured as a result of the “rubber necking” minor crash.

NT Police have not confirmed if any charges are expected in relation to the crashes.
