Loving parents shared photos of their family holiday on social media just minutes before they were killed in a tragic road crash in Tasmania.

Victorian couple Nathan and Chei David, both 46, were holidaying with their three teenage sons in Tasmania when they died in a head-on crash on the Bass Highway at Exton, about 160 kilometres from Hobart, last Saturday morning.

Their orphaned children Joshua, Charlize and Jude remain in Launceston Hospital in a stable condition, the ABC reports, as the community remembers the couple as beloved parents and devoted pastors.

Tragically, just minutes before the fatal collision, Mrs David shared photos of the family visiting popular tourist spots in Tasmania, including Cataract Gorge and Cradle Mountain.

It can be revealed the couple were preparing to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in August with a renewal of their vows.

The Davids were pastors at the Loch Alive Christian Centre in the town of Loch Sport, about a three-hour drive east of Melbourne.

A spokesman for the church told News Corp that the couple’s children were expected to return to Victoria this Friday.

The family moved to Australia from the Philippines in 2005, before Pastor Nathan David began preaching at the church in 2015.

One mourner remembered Pastor Nathan David as a “beautiful member” of the church community.

“He served with passion and was always joking and so happy. We are praying for his beautiful children still in hospital today,” they wrote.

Another mourner paid tribute to Pastor Chei David, who was remembered as a devoted mother.

“Sister Cheryl’s (Chei’s) devotion to her family was unparalleled and she did everything with so much heart and excellence,” she wrote.

“We join their surviving family in grief and will think and pray for them constantly.

“I believe Nathan and Cheryl had already instilled in their children the same love for God, love for each other, hard work, resilience and joy that they demonstrated throughout their lives and declare in Jesus’ name that although Nathan and Cheryl are no longer physically on earth, their legacy lives on in their children and their future generations will be blessed beyond measure.

“Till we meet again in heaven Nathan David and Chei David, where Nathan will strum his guitar, (Chei) will sing and dance to the eternal rhythms.”

Churchgoers at the The United Methodist Church in Manila, The Philippines, also paid tribute to the couple on social media.

Police are investigating whether driver inattention may have been a contributing factor in the crash.

A mother and her one-month-old baby who were in the other car have been discharged from hospital, while a man remains in the Royal Hobart Hospital where he is recovering from suspected spinal injuries.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
