PASSION Flower Hobart owner Amanda Rhodes sets up a tribute in her shop window for Anzac Day every year — and every year it takes up more space.
“I’ve had the shop for eight years now and every year I do one and it gets bigger,” Ms Rhodes said.
“I’ll have to get a bigger window.”

Ms Rhodes’ dad, Kingsley Maxwell Black, fought in the navy during WWII, and died 28 years ago.
“When I started with the shop it just gave me a chance to do a window and put his photo up to remember dad,” she said.
It has grown year upon year since then, and this year the display includes items from WWI and the Vietnam War, which have been borrowed from a number of sources including Vietnam veterans.
The window features a slouch hat, maps, a camoflauge net, and a ration pack from Vietnam, as well as photos, newspaper clippings and more from other wars.
“A lot of people have come in that have been Vietnam veterans and been happy that we’re getting that out there a bit as well because they feel a little bit left behind sometimes,” Ms Rhodes said.
The feedback from the public has been overwhelmingly positive as well.
“They’ve been coming in and saying thank you for doing it and [that] they love the window,” she said.
