Exclusive: Liberal politicians have unfollowed some of the racy social media accounts that were exposed in a sleaze file.
The Herald Sun revealed that a dossier has been worked up on Victorian Liberal MPs and candidates.
This morning, the social media accounts of shadow treasurer David Davis and shadow environment minister James Newbury had been cleansed.
Mr Davis has unfollowed the Twitter account @WhoresofYore and the Instagram account Badass Boudoir.
He also binned a Twitter account that compared modern feminism to “cancer”.
Mr Newbury had been following a model on his Instagram page.
Her posts included bikini shots and burlesque outfits.
Mr Newbury’s account did not follow her on Tuesday morning.
It comes after a sleaze file exposed how Liberal MPs and candidates, including would-be treasurer David Davis, have been following soft porn accounts on their social media profiles.
The dossier, current as of yesterday, reveals how several senior party figures were following accounts of porn stars, lingerie models, Playboy Playmates and men who say that “modern feminism is a cancer.”
Shadow treasurer David Davis, frontbencher Brad Battin, and climate change spokesman James Newbury all followed risque accounts, screenshots reveal.
Mr Davis’s Twitter account, which has an official “blue tick”, was following a page titled @whoresofyore, which celebrates the history of prostitution – one of 1241 accounts he was following, according to a screen shot taken on Friday.
He was also following a page named “Ben – Vote Liberal Democrats” that claims in its description: “Modern Feminism is a Cancer. It’s as toxic as any other hate culture.”
Mr Davis’s public Instagram page followed a page called @melbourneboudoirbykaren – or Badass Boudoir.
The page includes dozens of images of curvy middle-aged women in lingerie and suggestive poses.
He was also following an account where a woman posed in lingerie and posted pictures of herself in combat gear pointing a gun, among other images of pistols and bullets.
The Herald Sun sent details of the accounts that MPs and candidates were following – based on a dossier compiled by women’s rights campaigners – to Liberal headquarters on Monday.
A Liberal Party spokesman responded: “Labor are out of touch and out of ideas – there is an election in 12 days about the future of our state and the best they can do is trawl through who likes what account on social media pages.”
The party also pointed to a screenshot that claimed Labor MP Vicki Ward also followed @whoresofYore on Twitter.
Mr Battin, who is the Liberal Party’s police spokesman, had been following an OnlyFans model on his public TikTok page. The model posts videos, which have been viewed more than 3.6 million times, of her taking her top off to reveal her “itty bittys”.
Another post on her TikTok page, which had been viewed 4.2 million times, includes the caption “How long have you had hairy armpits?” and “Does the carpet match the drapes?”
The young woman also has an Only Fans account that charges $14.14 per month and promises a “welcome to my intimate world.”
The OnlyFans page includes four topless images of “Miss Aimee” and a photograph of her with a rainbow coloured penis shaped icy pole.
“She has tiny tits, furry pits and dimples that will melt your heart,” the page says.
The Herald Sun is not suggesting that Mr Battin follows the OnlyFans page.
Mr Battin said: “I had no idea who I’m following. I didn’t know I was following anyone on TikTok. I’ve never been on OnlyFans.”
He removed the follow from his TikTok account on Monday.
Brighton MP James Newbury, who is also the opposition’s spokesman for Equality, had been following three bikini models on Instagram.
Geelong candidate James Bennett-Hullin, meanwhile, had been following “American Playboy Playmate” Jessica Vaugn. Her Twitter bio page includes two topless photographs of her posing on a sand dune, wearing a blue sheet.
David Burgess, the Liberal candidate for Eastern Victoria, was following “Defender Girls” on his Facebook page.
The site, which has 18,000 followers, features images of bikini-clad women draped over a series of Land Rover Defender cars.
The main photograph on the page shows three women in bikinis standing in a vehicle driving through shallow water at the beach.
Other photographs show a woman leaning forward while sitting on the bonnet of a Defender.
Andrew Katos, the Liberal candidate for South Barwon, had been following topless model Audrey Allen on his personal Facebook page.
Ms Allen has posted videos of herself in white lingerie with the caption “Good Morning” and also has several topless photographs on her page.
The US model, who has more than 1.3 million followers, advertises for booking and collaboration on her site.
Other photographs show her completely naked in a forest in Colorado, while another shows her in a G-string in front of a washing machine.
“If you’re not helping with your chores. You’re f---ing up,” Ms Allen wrote as caption on the laundry photograph.
Mr Katos was also following Xo Luscious Women xo, which has links on its page to articles titled “Not for Kids” and “Alena From From Melbourne Sent You Her Videos. Would You Like To See?”.
Wayne Farnham, Liberal candidate for Narracan, which includes Warragul in West Gippsland, was following Centrefold Gallery on his personal Facebook page, according to a screen shot.
The Facebook page is run by Centrefold Strippers and includes a link to hire an exotic dancer.
