A man has been flown to hospital in a critical condition after an alleged domestic dispute overnight.
Police and emergency services say a 56-year-old man sustained significant injuries to his hand and neck caused by a long-bladed weapon during an incident at an address in The Pines, west of Brisbane.
Queensland Ambulance Service said the man was flown to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a critical condition.
A 25-year-old man was found a short time later in a service station on the Gore Highway in Captains Mountain. He was taken into custody and charged with grievous bodily harm.
He is expected to face the Toowoomba Magistrates Court later on Monday.
Police believe the two men are known to each other.
