Tasmanian fans don’t have to wait long to see AFL action in 2025 with Hawthorn set to play Greater Western Sydney Giants under lights in Launceston in round three.
The Hawks have been rewarded for their barnstorming finish to the 2024 season with a prime-time clash on March 29 against GWS, which finished in the top four this year.
North Melbourne plays the first of its two games in Tasmania against the Brisbane Lions in
Hobart in round nine, with a Sunday twilight game on May 11.
Hawthorn then plays Adelaide Crown in Launceston in another Friday night blockbuster in round 14 on June 13, and against fellow-Tasmanian tenant North Melbourne in Launceston in round 16, that time and date yet to be confirmed by the AFL.
Hawthorn’s fourth game in Launceston is against Port Adelaide, which finished second this year, in round 19, that time and date also still to be revealed by the AFL.
North Melbourne’s final game in Tasmania will be against Richmond in Hobart in the penultimate round of the season, likely to be a Saturday afternoon fixture, also yet to be confirmed.
