Rachel Glass
Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman ‘Entrepreneurs’ nominee Rachel Glass said 2022 was the year that almost broke her.
Her father passed away on August 31, missing out her November 3 wedding. Twenty days later, Mrs Glass was diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer.
The 39-year old mother-of-two is undergoing treatment but said thanks to the love of an entire community she has managed to flourish.
Tracey Woodbry
If you’ve been to the Gold Coast Mayoress Ball or ever enjoyed the Supercars event on the Gold Coast, then in part you have Tracey Woodbry to thank.
Ms Woodbry is general manager corporate experiences for Supercars when the V8s roll into the Glitter Strip each year and a key committee member and organiser of the annual Mayoress Ball fundraiser.
She been nominated by multiple people for the Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman awards in the ‘Angels Among Us’ category.
Madeleine McTernan
Madeleine McTernan is a Paralympic silver medallist who is immensely proud to represent her country.
The 22-year-old is an S14 swimmer with an intellectual impairment living with autism spectrum disorder and is an active ambassador for people of all abilities.

An accredited aged care professional, she is at the forefront of spearheading campaigns to introduce new state laws that criminalise elder abuse. And for that has been nominated in the ‘professionals’ category for this year’s Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year awards by Harvey Norman.
Manuela Whitford
Manuela Whitford is a conduit for hope for survivors of domestic violence.
The mother of three and ‘Angel Among Us’ Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman nominee founded the national not-for-profit Friends with Dignity in 2015.
The organisation has completed over 755 homes across the Gold Coast, south east Queensland, Perth and Newcastle working with agencies and refuges to furnish empty houses with everything from white goods to soft furnishings and food.
Sarah Eccleston
Sarah Eccleston is at the forefront of Koala research and conservation.
The koala specialist at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is responsible for breeding more than 600 koalas, helping to save the endangered species from extinction.
Ms Eccleston was nominated by her peers in the ‘Environmental Warriors’ category for Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman due to her “tireless conservation work” over the past 25 years.
Renee Brescianini
Renee Brescianini is shaping the future for children in our own backyard as the founder of the Enriching Lives Foundation.
She was nominated in the ‘Champions of Education’ category for the Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman and mother of two started the Gold Coast-based charity 18 months ago with a goal to help underprivileged students with the means to stay in school.
The program helps with uniforms, books, food and other everyday schooling essentials for kids who have either lost a parent, are facing financial distress or have found themselves out of home.
Danni Gillham
Health devotee Danni Gillham is known by many for helping women at their most vulnerable and transformative state.
The physiotherapist and founder of The Wellness Boutique specialises in pre and post-natal care, offering birth preparation and specific work to help with risk factors for delivery and reducing risk of injury down the track.
Seven television personality Liz Cantor nominated her in the ‘Wellness Warrior’ category for this year’s Gold Coast Bulletin Women of the Year by Harvey Norman, saying the Burleigh based mum of two helped her maintain not only her health but her mindset in the lead up to the birth of her third child.
