A man has declined to make a complaint to police after he was hospitalised on the Gold Coast with injured buttocks.

A man who was found with injured buttocks in a parked car near a major Gold Coast shopping centre has declined to make a complaint to police.
Paramedics were called to reports of an alleged assault near Australia Fair shopping centre in Southport about 4am on Tuesday.
According to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman, the 48-year-old male had a “minor” injury and was assessed by paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police were in the process of making inquiries as to what had occurred.
“(The) man sustained a non-life threatening injury to his buttocks while in a car parked on Marine Parade” a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman told the Bulletin.
“He has indicated to police he does not want to make a complaint.”
Officers have filed a report on the incident.
