Drumcondra woman arrested on alleged deception offences
A Geelong woman was arrested after she allegedly stole $30,000 from her ex-husband’s building business over a number of years.

A Drumcondra woman has been arrested for alleged deception offences involving fraudulently obtaining funds from her ex-husband’s business.
Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives allege the offences occurred between 2020 and 2023 and believe she fraudulently obtained about $30,000 of funds from the building business.
It is understood the woman, aged 40, allegedly stole the funds from the business account by making cash transactions into her own.
A source close to the investigation said the man realised something was going on when cash transactions were being taken out.
The woman was interviewed on March 15 and released pending further inquiries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
