Coast breakfast trio heading for no.1...shave

This Gold Coast radio presenter and her team are ready to lose it all....for a great cause.

RADIO presenter Jodie Shepard loves her hair but is willing to shave it off to show she “cares”.

The RebelFM breakfast presenter and her co-hosts Ash Palmero and James Brook are preparing to “get a number 1 shave” to support the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave on March 11.

Ms Shepard says her locks are her “crowning glory” but for her, it is a small price to pay when compared to the patients they want to help.

“There’s a lot of Gold Coasters who love their hair too but lose it by no fault of their own,” she said.

“They often feel like they lose a lot of themselves and it breaks my heart.

“The boys and I want to show we care.

“We encourage everyone to join us at Pacific Fair to shave too and help us raise more than $5000.”

Funds will go towards lifesaving blood cancer services and research.

Leukaemia Foundation CEO Bill Petch said with the community’s help, they planned to see zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035.

The RebelFM event will kick off from 3.30pm at Pacific Fair shopping centre. You can book a place online if you are keen to be brave and shave too.
